Queen Elizabeth Vessel

HB Hydraulics played an important role in the completion of the two flagship aircraft carriers for the Royal Navy.

These vessels, each weighing in excess of 60,000 tonnes, will be central in building the navies capabilities both to defend the UK and to act as a powerful deterrent to our enemies.

Both the Queen Elizabeth and its sister ship the Prince of Wales were built in sections at various locations around the UK. HB Hydraulics were involved at an early stage in Portsmouth and Newcastle conducting pipe installation along with pressure testing and fluid flushing services.

The sections were then assembled in Rosyth. HB had teams fitting pipes and continuing the work involved with bringing the ships to life.

Since launch and acceptance by the Royal Navy, HB have continued to supply pipe manufacturing, repair, flushing and testing services to the Navy, to ensure the ships are always up to date and ready defend UK interests.

HB are proud of their hard-earned reputation to provide first class service over the last 25 years to the Royal Navy and we look forward to continuing to do so for the next 25 years.
